Try a new twist on lasagna or ravioli with this easy family-friendly Baked Ravioli with Beef dish. Be sure you use quality ingredients when choosing the ravioli and sauce. I typically pull out a prior frozen container of my homemade sauce. By picking those ingredients right this dish becomes super simple and absolutely delicious.


  • 1 pound 85-90% lean ground beef 
  • 1 tablespoon EVOO
  • 1 (14oz) can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 jar or 14oz tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (20-oz.) pkg. fresh-made refrigerated cheese ravioli (smaller size – not too big)
  • 1 (5-oz.) pkg. baby spinach
  • Handful of fresh basil
  • 1 cup of shredded fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese 1/4 cup torn fresh basil leaves


  • Preheat over to 450 degrees
  • Crumble the beef into a large skillet and cook through over medium high heat
  • Drain the beef and stir in the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes
  • Spread 1/3 of the meat and sauce mixture into a 7×11 baking dish. Next, layer with the ravioli, 1/2 the cheeses, 1/2 the spinach. Make another of ravioli and cheeses, ending with the sauce mixture.
  • Bake in the oven for 30 minutes
  • Finish with parmesan cheese and the fresh basil and serve
